Limitations:

On each 14th and 15th day of the Moon-Calendar the markets carry almost exclusively vegetarian food. The Vegetarian cuisine is very versatile and visitors should welcome this chance to get to know this new, interesting aspect of Vietnamese culture.

One week before the Vietnamese New Year’s Day and one week after there will not be any cooking courses (Jan 21 – Feb 5).

During the months of October and November the cooking courses may have to be cancelled because of flooding.

 

Itinerary:

The courses start at 09.00 a.m. with a briefing about the ingredients of the Vietnamese cuisine. The practical part starts right after and participants visit the local market. Participants will decide on what they have always wanted to try and create the menu themselves. Advice by the instructor will be readily available. The course will come to an end somewhere between 12.30 and 13.00 hours, after a communal lunch with your hosts.

 

In order to be flexible and to afford you the freedom to cook whatever you wish, the price has been divided into two parts, the first part is the price of the ingredients – as they are bought and paid for at the market. The second part is a flat rate for the cooking.
